The purpose of this devotional is to reflect on the character of God and His kindness while encouraging the Church—the Body of Christ—to recognize its role on the frontlines of emotional and spiritual crisis. Many who struggle with anxiety, loneliness, depression, mental illness, or suicidal thoughts still turn first to faith leaders, family members, and fellow believers for help.

My prayer is that these forty days will help equip the saints for the work of ministry, encouraging believers to become the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus. Just as God extended to us the safety net of salvation, may we extend kindness, compassion, and practical help to others in crisis.

God is the greatest Crisis Interventionist known to mankind. May we reflect His heart as we serve those who suffer.
