Practical Kindness for Life’s Hardest Moments

Voice of Kindness equips everyday people with simple, skill-based tools to recognize distress, respond with care, and guide others toward Hope, Help, and Healing.

Kindness has the power to restore those facing crises.  Every person needs to be understood, and every person needs to be validated.   In the same way crises in people’s lives come in stages, waves, or layers, kindness can counter the crises at all levels. You may be the connection someone needs--- one who is willing and available to show genuine Kindness.  You might plant the seed of Hope during one phase of someone’s journey, while another person may help soften the impact of adverse circumstances. Someone else might provide a fresh perspective amid layers of conflict. Your presence—sometimes even your silence—can guide a friend toward safety.

Think 3-2-1 Crisis Intervention Strategy

Partners in Kindness:

Ernest Hemingway once said “In our darkest moments we don’t need solutions or advice. What we yearn for is simply human connection – a quiet presence, a gentle touch. These small gestures are the anchors that hold us steady when life feels too much.”

  • “This was an outstanding training! The strategies of 3C’s are great tools to implement during crisis intervention.

“I really like the idea of 2 mnemonics: BE KIND and REST. The way you break them down and give examples to use them are going to be extremely helpful.”

“I really loved all the steps and ways to approach a person in crisis. It gave both a chance to come to a solution together. It makes both people engaged and focused.”

“Even if I forget everything, I can remember the “B” in being empathetic and the “D” develop a plan as both are needed towards healing.”

“Love the simplicity of acronyms and application of God’s Word.”

“The course helped me to understand more about suicide ideation and gave me tools to practice.”

“Well thought out material. Highly recommend for First Responders.”

“Cultivating kindness and these tools will help in all areas of my life.”
